"WOW" What an achievement, the ICAP DebRA Team have raised £ 22,465,00 for our designated charity DebRA...We are over the moon with the amount the team have raised, making it a very worthwhile and rewarding event for all of us......Many thanks to everyone who sponsored the team and we sincerely hope you enjoyed following the 3 day tour..... JUNE 27th.. It's back to home,,, Our well worn out and loyal bikes have been loaded onto a truck and are on their way back to Imber Court... The ICAP TEAM however have the luxury of a flight back to the UK.... It's been a tough few days. and our thoughts are of a long hot bath, a great massage and a familiar bed to recover.....Tomorrow the team will fill you in with all of their personal data on the London - Paris Tour.
Well done the ICAP DebRA TEAM....You should all be very proud of yourselves...
JUNE 26th..DAY 3....."WOW" "WOW" "WOW" !!! What an incredible turn out for the last two miles as we cycled into Paris.....Hundreds of people lining the streets all Cheering, Applauding and Wishing us well as we headed for the finishing line at the Eiffel Tower......What an incredible feeling for the ICAP team as we crossed the line.... Bruised, Battered, Blistered, Red Raw, Totally Drained and Exhausted...But it was worth it...A fab achievement...
JUNE 26th..DAY 3.....3.00pm.."THIS IS IT" after months of training and preparation we are finally on our way to the finishing line... Only 20 miles to go but it's a struggle to get back on our bikes as we are all exhausted...
JUNE 26th..DAY 3.....Another early start from the little town of Amines....7.00am and we are on our way. It's hot and humid again around 39oC, and with another 110 miles to go it's going to be a tough day,,, The team spirits are high as we head off on the final stage to Paris. We have 6 hours / 90 miles of tough riding before we stop for a half hour break.... Followed by a 2 hour / 20 miles or so run into Paris.

JUNE 25th..DAY 2.....3.00pm... Hot, Sticky and Grueling riding in temperatures of around 37oC.... Only another 15 miles to go before our next overnight stay in Amines......5.00pm...."Ye Ha" we made it... The team are in great shape and all in need of a long cool shower.......With no accidents or incidents today the team are over the moon with there performance and looking forward to a well earned rest....A couple of beers, a few bottles of Merlot some fab food and a relaxing evening.... Well done the ICAP DebRA Team........
JUNE 25th...DAY 2..... Here we go again !!!,,, 5.00am.... After a light breakfast and our bikes over-hauled its back in the saddle and on the road at 7.00am for another 110 miles.....If you think that Northern France is flat forget it, it's a never-ending tough ride with a hill around ever corner....

JUNE 24th...DAY 1..... 7.00pm The Team have finished the last 20 miles and are now on the Dover-Calais Ferry............With their Hi-Carb Diet well and truly out of the window the Team are all very relaxed and each enjoying a huge glass of Chablais.... On arrival in Calais they have a further 2 miles to ride before hopping on a coach that will drop them to their hotel..... An early night? ...... Ha! Ha!........... Well done guys on one hard day.
JUNE 24th....DAY 1..... The team set out at 7.00am on one of the hottest days of the year....3.00pm and the team have done 90 of the 110 miles that they have to ride today, Russ was seen admiring the undergrowth after crashing through a hedge....With no serious harm done and only 20 miles to go today the ICAP Debra Team are in great spirits and looking forward to a few well earned beers!......Salute !!!!!

JUNE 23rd...Well here goes 300 plus miles for a great Charity!! I am nervously looking forward to it!. I live in Windsor and also have three wonderful children Kate 15 Jonno 19 and Jack 21 . The two boys are at Uni and Kate is about to start GCSE's. married to Julie who keeps us all motivated. Thanks to ICAP for sponsoring us all and for the additional lycra initiative! Wish us well and sponsor if you can ! ....Barry
JUNE 23rd...OK, one day to go and training is at a frenzy. Today we open as many beers as possible whilst watching the England match and then make our way to Imber Court to register and get our bikes electronically tagged to make sure we don't cheat! After a couple of glasses of wine we should be more relaxed as we enjoy the last supper... and then it's a bit of sleep before take-off at 7am Thursday; yawn!

JUNE 6th........Russ.....OK, we're taking it seriously now! Barry and I went for a fast and furious 23 miler today; first 10 miles of THE route and then doubled back through Cobham and Esher. Knees a bit sore but both pleased with our commitment. Major trouble though when we arrived back at my house, our loving and caring wives, Sally and Julie, had the baked potatoes in the oven and the BBQ lit. 2 Bottles of Gavi and a couple of Steaks later and all the pounds seem to have gone back on ... Yin / Yang????
Going for 30 miles next weekend ...
JUNE 4th.... ...UP-Dates on the Team Training should be imminent.

JUNE 3rd ..... Team training is in progress. Having realised that we have to have a moderate level of fitness , we do believe each member of the team has to undertake a strict hi-carb diet and a full -on training programme.
MAY 8th .........Grant..... What training havn't started yet!!
